Fruit Phonics

The Synthetic Phonics method teaches children how to read through gradually introducing them to the 42 sounds that comprise the phonetic alphabet of the English language and how this relates to the written alphabet.

The 3D environment lets children explore letters words and sounds

The Fruit Phonics demo has a cast of fruit- and letter-based characters who take children into their Fruit World to teach them about sounds, letters and words. This demo concentrates on the very first phase of phonics based learning where the sound of each letter is taught and the first simple words are recognised.

Children are presented with the sounds, the letters and words in a highly entertaining manner. Navigating is simple so that even very young children can easily explore all the letters.

Effective learning through reinforcing

For each letter several animations are used to reinforce the connection between sound and letter. Generally the animations progress from the phonetic introduction of the letter to decoding several short words containing this letter.
